With the Benson Reed Ingram Scholarship, we will start a tradition of rewarding Ole Miss students who catch their stride late in life.

All donations go towards the Benson Reed Ingram Endowment at the UM Foundation.

The scholarship fund awards students who, like Ben, courageously enter the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honor's College in their junior year. Once endowed, an annual award will be given to one or more Honor's College junior entrants each year. And, importantly, Ben's name and legacy can live on at Ole Miss forever.

If the endowment grows large enough, Lee (Ben's twin brother) will also form the Ben Ingram Short Story Competition at Ole Miss. In honor of Ben, the competition will present a cash prize and recognition to the Ole Miss student who submits the most creatively written short story.

A final note from Lee:

The Benson Reed Ingram Scholarship and the Ben Ingram Short Story Competition are far from the end of my efforts to preserve Ben's legacy. I look forward to continuing to organize projects that reward young people for being creative, tenacious and hard working.

In honor of Ben, I will build projects in his name for rest of my life.

Thank you all so much for your continued support.

With Love,
Lee Ingram
